With 8+ years of experience building digital products and businesses, I've seen every side of a company from boot-strapped startup to globally recognized brand. I’ve had the privilege to work for and with some fantastic innovators in the startup community in both New York and Los Angeles. My passion is working with bright, curious and motivated people to ship great products, grow businesses and make customers/clients happy.
I’m currently Sr. Product Manager at Society6, an e-commerce marketplace where 200k+ artists from around the world sell their original artwork printed on 30+ consumer tech, home and apparel goods. I manage the consumer shopping experience across desktop, mobile web and iOS platforms.
I've also led and/or played key roles on teams that have built best-in-class subscription box businesses (Quarterly Co. and BarkBox), an industry leading flash-sale shopping experience (HauteLook), and a revolutionary e-commerce marketplace + social shopping platform (OpenSky). Prior to digital product development, I worked at two leading global brands in broadcast and print journalism, earning high praise from senior leadership at GQ Magazine + CNN Headline News.
I graduated from New York University with a B.A. in Journalism and History.
Society6 is home to hundreds of thousands of artists from around the globe, uploading and selling their original works as 30+ premium consumer goods from Art Prints to Throw Blankets. They create, we produce and fulfill, and every purchase pays an artist. Simple, but huge.

BarkBox is a monthly subscription start-up based in NYC. I helped guide a redesign and relaunch of the web product.
The experience revolves around a simple, 3-step subscription process where users choose their dog size, select a monthly plan and enter billing + delivery info. We used fun illustrations and ultra-usable controls to make the experience as easy and fun as possible.
I also helped implement or enhance a back-end recurring billing system, email marketing tool, referral program, customer service solution and fulfillment operation.
ElephantDrive is an easy-to-use and cost efficient solution for backing up digital data and syncing it across multiple devices.
I've advised the company on all aspects of product development, provided assistance conceiving/editing new feature development. I also helped spec and create wireframes and mockups for on-going user experience enhancements.
OpenSky is a social e-commerce platform that allows users to connect to their favorite tastemakers, discover new consumer products through authentic endorsements and buy at insider prices.
As founding Product Manager, I made the consumer experience fun and easy-to-use. I conceived, spec'd and managed the design and development of exciting user facing features with a team of 20+ engineers and designers. I also helped develop a suite of merchandising, operational and administrative tools for internal use that allowed the business to rapidly scale.
In 2014 David Kanuth (former attorney in the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office) launched a campaign to represent CA's 33rd District in the U.S. Congress.
I helped beta-launch the "Kanuth for Congress" campaign website, integrated a fundraising and compliance solution and implemented a donor management program.
Along the way, I worked with multiple digital platforms including Nation Builder and NGP Van.
Tabbly is a conceptual mobile application that allows users to keep tabs on what their friends are reading, watching and listening to. The application was designed by Andy out of a need for discovering new pieces of media (books, articles, movies and TV shows) that friends and family were enjoying.
The designs were created using Omnigraffle and Balsmiq Mockups. Inspiration was drawn from existing to-do list apps, social network apps and bookmarklet apps.
The project is currently in mobile development.
InstaTravel is a prototype sketch for a mobile app where users can quickly and easily see beautiful photos from their favorite cities around the world. Utilizing Instagram API's, we're attempting to build an immersive experience that can be used to plan a vacation, keep track of global events or simply browse beautiful images taken by other Instagram users.
This is a wireframe prototype that is currently in development.
